Weatherford Equine Medical Center (WEMC) earned a merit award in the 2004 Veterinary Economics Hospital Design Competition. WEMC is located thirty miles west of Fort Worth in a 16,000 square foot facility that includes:

• Hospital barn with 15 in-patient stalls, 9 mare and foal intensive care stalls, 5 isolation stalls
• A 7,500 square foot indoor lameness facility with 15 additional stalls
• A breeding barn with 22 mare & foal stalls, a collection room, and an embryo lab
• A surgery suite with two induction/recovery stalls
• A special procedures room for standing surgery, endoscopy, etc.
• Four separate exam areas with stocks
• A complete in-house lab which is also a federally accredited coggins lab
• Also included are five one acre turnouts, one six acre pasture, and a ten acre pasture for long term boarders

Weatherford Equine is a partner in Animal Imaging of Irving, TX which provides access to MRI and nuclear scintigraphy.

Clients and visitors are welcomed to the clinic by an open hearth fireplace and friendly front office staff members.
